Jake Leigh is a UK-based guitarist, songwriter, and content creator whose playing combines the melodic sensibilities of classic 80s hard rock with the power and aggression of modern rock and metal. Influenced primarily by players such as John Sykes, Phil Collen, Richie Sambora, Gary Moore, and Mark Tremonti, Jake has developed a style built around powerful riffs, expressive lead playing, and a relentless pursuit of great guitar tone.

 

Jake has spent more than two decades writing, recording, and performing original music live while building a respected presence within the guitar community. Throughout his career he has recorded and released multiple EPs and albums, including working with acclaimed producer Matt Hyde (Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, Machine Head, Slipknot), gaining valuable experience in songwriting, recording, and production.

 

Alongside his work as a musician, Jake runs the Jake Leigh Guitar YouTube channel, where his gear reviews, tone-focused content, and industry commentary reach hundreds of thousands of guitar players each year. His work has led to collaborations with some of the biggest brands in the guitar industry, as well as appearances at major guitar events including 42 Gear Street.

 

Whether on stage, in the studio, or creating content for guitar players around the world, Jake remains driven by the same passion for music, tone, and performance that inspired him to pick up the guitar in the first place. He is an Ernie Ball artist, an LT Custom artist, and proudly represents Badlands Guitar Company as an official Brand Ambassador.
